My global perspective has been enlightened due to the Global Medallion Program. My courses along with activities and events have expanded my mind and views of various global topics. I am more aware of what is going on not only directly around me but issues throughout the world and the impacts caused. It is easy to forget that there is so much more taking place than what we see everyday.

    Participating in this program has led me to expand my knowledge through engagement. It provided me with countless opportunities to volunteer at events, interact with my fellow peers at round-table sessions and offers multiple internships both domestic and international. This program has been beneficial in so many ways and I am grateful that I could experience so much through it.

    As my time here at FIU draws to an end I am left to reflect on my accomplishments. The past few years have been some of the most fulfilling and rewarding years of my life. Graduating from Florida International University will forever be one of my proudest moments. I know I will always be apart of an incredible panther alumni family. I am most thankful for the chance to study abroad and the personal growth that has come as a result of it. I am a stronger,confident and more well-rounded person. FIU has helped me develop my skills to be successful and I intend to do just that. It is my goal to take all that I have learned and use it to help others in this world - to lift and inspire others to go after their dreams and to live life to the fullest. My path is still unfolding and the journey is only beginning.  ~ Alisa
