I always dreamed of someday visiting China. When I was young my dad used to practice martial arts. We would sit and watch movies together. As a young kid I found myself interested in the culture. Upon transferring to FIU I knew studying abroad in China was something I needed to pursue. My dream would become a reality. In August of 2015 I set out on a journey across the world with nine other students. Four the next 4 months Tianjin China would be my new home.

My experience in China was nothing like I thought it would be yet everything and more at the same time. The friendships I made while I was there, the lessons I learned and all the experiences helped shape me to who I am today. I have had the chance to make international friends, tutor Chinese students in writing, and even perform in a local talent show. I spent Thanksgiving there and saw snow for the very first time. My love for the country and culture has gotten stronger since returning to the states. I am currently studying Chinese and plan to continue learning the language after I graduate. From here I hope to be able to travel to China again and possibly obtain a working position.

Below are a few of my pictures from my adventures. Ranging from The Great Wall of China to the War Memoriam in South Korea. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to travel and learn abroad and I
will never forget the friends I made in the process. My mind has been expanded and my outlook on life has been changed as a result of this journey. I am forever thankful.
